We just launched the website for the City of Houston General Plan. This is the first general plan in the City’s history, and we’re really excited to be a part of it. Click on the image below to take a look.
We built Plan Houston using Drupal 7, Bootstrap3, and a little javascript for smooth scrolling. It’s responsive, so it should look great in your browser, on your tablet, and on your phone.
In future posts, I’ll talk more about my behind-the-scenes observations of the planning process. So if you’re curious about what the general plan actually means, stay tuned.
Later this summer, we will also unveil a GIS planning tool that helps organize the various plans from management districts, TIRZs, neighborhoods, and other community groups.
